We asked stakeholders from local services and organisations to share what they thought of our work and the impact we have on the Dudley borough. Their responses highlights how we are a trusted service that encourages real change, it also helped identify areas for improvement.

We conducted an Enter & View visit to Pathways, a supported living service in Dudley, highlighting residents' experiences and areas for improvement. It includes observations, feedback, and recommendations to enhance the quality of care and environment.

Exploring the experiences of Shared Lives Carers and the individuals they support through the Camphill Village Trust’s Shared Lives scheme which provides personalised care for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

Healthwatch Dudley partnered with Womenn, Macmillan, and the NHS to host a workshop encouraging cancer screenings among ethnic minority women, addressing cultural stigma and barriers.

We joined a local veterans breakfast club and attended a Veterans Day celebration to discover the health and social care experiences of veterans.

Healthwatch England have published a report highlighting the barriers faced by trans and non-binary people when accessing GP services. We assisted in this piece of research and highlighted the experiences of trans and non-binary people.

Over 3200 people across Dudley borough shared their experiences of health and social care last year. Their voices have helped inspire real change in health and social care services.

Through surveys, conversations, visits to dental practices and calling every NHS dental practice in the borough, we have developed a picture of what it is really like for people in our community to access NHS dental treatment.

Our plan for the coming year is to continue to reach out to the whole community. We want to encourage people to share their experiences of health and social care and encourage positive change.

We have been working with the Care Quality Partnership to identify supported living and care facilities to visit throughout the year, with a view to listening to the experiences of residents and relatives.
