Over 3200 people across Dudley borough shared their experiences of health and social care last year. Their voices have helped inspire real change in health and social care services.

Through surveys, conversations, visits to dental practices and calling every NHS dental practice in the borough, we have developed a picture of what it is really like for people in our community to access NHS dental treatment.

Our plan for the coming year is to continue to reach out to the whole community. We want to encourage people to share their experiences of health and social care and encourage positive change.

We worked with the Dudley Council's Children and Young Peoples Public Health Team to contact every dental practice in the borough that offers NHS dental appointments. We wanted to discover what it was like to find an NHS dental appointment in the borough.

We have been exploring local access to NHS dental care. We visited Purity Dental for an Enter & View to see what their patients had to say about local NHS dental care.

Libraries are essential community hubs. They offer a range of services that bring people together. We held drop-in sessions at five libraries to listen to the experiences of the diverse groups who use them.

There are 22,595 stroke survivors registered with a GP in the Black Country. Over the last few months we have been working with Dudley Stroke Association to listen to feedback from people who have been affected by a stroke and their families and carers.
