Annual report 2024-25

Over 3200 people across Dudley borough shared their experiences of health and social care last year. Their voices have helped inspire real change in health and social care services.

Summary

With new developments on the future of Healthwatch, we look back at our achievements this past year and consider opportunities to continue listening to the community.

This report highlights how people's experiences are directly leading to changes in services and demonstrates the impact that can be achieved by a local, independent body.

Key outcomes

  • A new Patient Charter has been uploaded to every GP practice website in the borough in response to our research into access to GP services.
  • Enter & View visits in care homes and supported living facilities have led to real change for residents and their families.
  • We called every dental practice across Dudley borough to discover what it is like for people to get an NHS dental appointment.
  • We have been working with Black Country Foodbank to connect with people who are experiencing financial hardship.

We want to thank everyone who contributeded their views on health and social care services this year. Together, we can help make health and social care better.

"You don't know how much what you have done has helped me."
